Who is covered? You and your spouse are protected for one low monthly fee. The Commercial Drivers Legal Plan protects your rights both on and off the road for a very reasonable cost. With attorney fees running from $100 to $150 per hour on this type representation, this can save you a lot of money.

Who is my Attorney? When you call for help, the Provider Attorney firm will locate an attorney to act on your behalf. The Legal Plan Provider Attorney Firm has the support of qualified attorneys across the country and anywhere in the United States.

Tragic Accident Representation: If you or your spouse is charged with a criminal act due to a serious traffic accident, a Commercial Drivers Legal Plan Attorney will defend you in the court of original jurisdiction at no additional cost for: manslaughter; involuntary manslaughter; vehicular homicide; or negligent homicide.

Moving Violations: If you get a moving violation, you will get defense in the court of original jurisdiction at no added charge to you, by an attorney located through your Commercial Drivers Legal Plan Provider Attorney at no added charge to you. The attorney appointed for you is usually located in the area where you received your ticket.

License Reinstatement: You and your spouse have 2.5 hours of legal help from a Commercial Drivers Legal Plan Attorney if you are denied a drivers license, if your drivers license is cancelled, suspended or revoked by the Department of Public Safety or Department of Motor Vehicles where a right to appeal is provided to you by statute, or if assistance is needed to reinstate or maintain a drivers license because of job-related or medical reasons.

DOT and Non-Moving Violations: At no added charge, you and your spouse are entitled to defense of citations issued in your motor vehicle for logbooks, over-length, over-weight, over-height, load spill, no placards, no permits, no IFTA, no medical card, hazardous material, no motor carrier authority and expired inspection sticker. Members are responsible for paying court costs, fines and related fees.

Property Damage Collection: A Commercial Drivers Legal Plan Attorney will help you or your spouse collect property damage claims of $2,000.00 or less for damage as a result of driving, riding in or being struck by any motor vehicle or boat. It covers minor damage to your car or truck. You may receive up to 2.5 hours of attorney time per claim.

All Other Legal Services: You and your spouse can receive an Attorney’s help for the following and any other legal work not specifically covered by this plan at a 25% discount from the attorneys standard hourly rate. They include non-driving problems such as bankruptcy, divorce, lease agreement reviews, debt collection, buy / sell agreements, partnerships, incorporation and child support. Additionally, similar help is available for alcohol / drug cases, police scanner, radar detector, driving without a license, driving on suspended license, no seat belt, improper or expired registration or tag and bypassing scales.
